People will always say. Oh don’t worry a Phoenix will rise. Well great, but you know what?
They’re not real.
When things get burned physically and literally they can be scarred for life. but even with scars, something magical can happen.
I learned something yesterday from a man I respect. I’d never even heard it before.
Did you know. There are seeds from some plants and some trees called pyrophytes, and they will only ever open and release after a forest fire.
A full forest fire has to wipe out the whole forest for these seeds to release.
Serotinous cones and fruits - These are sealed with resin and can only open after the heat of a fire melts the resin.
Aleppo pine cones - These burst open after a fire, releasing seeds that are essential for reproduction.
Prairie species - These only sprout after fires clear the way.
Jack pines - The heat of a fire can break seed dormancy, which enhances germination. The intense heat also cracks hard kernels, explodes seed cones, and allows water to leak in to begin the growth process. (info From Google) —
The point is this.
Even in the worst times in your life. Which I feel I’ve experienced and still am experiencing. And I’m sure some of you have and are too.
Even in the very worst times.
Try to understand -
As much as it hurts.
As much as it feels like there is no way out.
As much as it feels like you have Nothing.
That you have No-one.
- That sometimes the whole forest has to be burned to the ground for the new one to grow.

I agree Noel - sometimes it’s difficult to see the positives in things but you have to carry on.
My nephew (my sister’s son), passed away suddenly and very unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago, aged only 35.
Within the last 3 years, my sister has lost her husband to Alzheimer’s disease, and now her son.
My mantra is, and always will be ‘Everything Comes To Pass……Just Keep Me Where The Light Is’.

Hey, Noel, it's me again. Hope you're good, man. Just thought I should let you know that my web series is getting made and we're actually starting shooting on weekends from 16th November 2024 to 8th December 2024 (almost 20 years to the time you guys filmed Kidulthood)
