I’m a ball of energy. I’m up 5:30/6 everyday and i’m generally all go, all day. And i’ve been like that my whole life.
As a kid and well into my teens, before I left home my mum used to get up at 5am and shove the radio on. It was capital radio blasting through the house, so whether it was a school day or a weekend I was up. School days were what they were. Weekends were toys, video games or watching movies and wanting to do that myself when I was older.
This has continued into adulthood and Jet lag aside I can probably count on one hand the amount of times i’ve got up after 9am. I’m just up early and when I am, I’m ready to GO! My energy for anything is just 100% ready as if my battery has been fully charged by whatever sleep i’ve had and I can function with very little sleep. I’m not sure where I get the energy. I just have it.
But do you know what i’ve realised? As much as it is normal for me. Many people don’t have that drive. Don’t have that energy. Don’t have the self belief that people who don’t like you will call “sociopath confidence”. And yes, having confidence can be considered different to having energy and drive, but I myself feel those things can be connected. And as i’ve heard many times from people “ I can’t function unless I’ve had my coffee”.
The is world full of many different people and we all have a place, but for me personally I wish more people had that drive, had that get up and go energy, had self confidence and didn’t need anything to kick start it. They don’t of course have to be anything like me, and for a lot of people Coffee is just that thing that just lifts the fog and energises them and has nothing to do with their actual drive, but it seems to me that if something is still needed to get you going in the morning then maybe, just maybe there is something else going on, and not just the body needing a caffeine hit. (you’re allowed to disagree by the way)
So while I don’t drink coffee and never really have, bar a couple of cups over the 40+ years of life (I love the smell) and I don’t get the need for something to lift the fog as I don’t seem to be a person that gets that fog.
I Love to see people energised and hyped for their day and ready to GO! I love to see people enthused first thing in the morning and eager to get into whatever it is that we are about to get into and if coffee gets them there then I can only appreciate the hell out of it.

I am not a naturally cheerful person first thing, but there's not anything (now) that I MUST have before I can function and I'm generally quite energetic first thing.....always so many things to do! I am also able to function on next to no sleep
It used to be a cigarette, but I quit smoking.
I do find that if I haven't had a cup of tea by mid morning, I can get a headache, but I think that's more to do with caffeine withdrawal
Coffee is and has been a drink that will stand the test of time. There are so many variations it’s a drink that will always keep you inspired to try something new.
